Check mower blade stop time. Perform this test while sitting on the tractor. 1. Start engine. 2. ENGAGE PTO. M47474 3. Watch left-hand side mower spindle (A). DISENGAGE PTO, mower spindle should stop turning within 5 seconds. 4. If spindle does not stop within 5 seconds, the PTO brake needs servicing. (See your John Deere dealer for service.) Test 6 c CAUTION: Avoid injury! Before moving rearward, make sure area is clear of bystanders, especially children. Test Reverse Implement Option: 1. Start engine. 2. Engage PTO to start attachment. 3. Look behind the vehicle to be sure there are no bystanders. 4. Begin REVERSE travel by depressing REVERSE foot pedal. 5.
Attachment should stop operation. If attachment continues to operate while tractor travels in REVERSE, do not continue to operate attachment. See your John Deere dealer for service. 30
