The engine serial number and control parts list (CPL) provide information for ordering parts and service manuals. NOTE: The engine dataplate must not be changed unless approved by Cummins. The industrial engine dataplate is located on the top side of the gear housing. Have the following engine data available when communicating with a Cummins Authorized Repair Location. The information on the dataplate is mandatory when sourcing service parts.
