Lynk & Co — INTRODUCTION

SAFETY Airbags Warning! Airbags The airbag supplemental restraint system is a passive auxiliary protection system, used with the seatbelt to provide additional protection for the heads, chests and abdomens of passengers. VESPER ■ The airbag system and seatbelt pretensioners can only be deployed once. After the airbag system and seatbelt pretensioner are activated, please contact a Lynk & Co Linker center for replacement as soon as possible. ■ Affected by factors such as degree of impact, angle, speed and impact object, the airbag does not always deploy. ■ The dust (smoke) formed when the airbag deploys could cause skin and eye irritation in the event of prolonged exposure.

If your eyes and skin are infected with smoke and dust, flush your eyes and skin immediately. The main parts of the airbag supplemental restraint system are: ■ The electronic monitoring system (SRS control module and sensors) ■ Two front airbags ■ Two front side airbags ■ Two head safety air curtains Airbag fault warning light When the ignition switch is set to gear II, the airbag system is in a self-checking state. If the following conditions appear in the airbag fault warning light, it indicates that the airbag system is faulty: The airbag system works only with the ignition on. Seatbelts and airbags work together.

If the seatbelt is not used or is fastened incorrectly, the protection provided by the airbag in the event of a collision may be reduced or lost. ■ The airbag fault warning light does not light up when the system is in self-inspection. ■ After the ignition switch is set to gear II for several seconds, the icon will remain in on state. The airbag control module monitors the operation status of each system. When the airbag control module detects the collision event, it controls the airbag deployment or detonates the seatbelt pretensioner. In a collision where deployment occurs, the airbags are inflated with hot gas and deflate when being compressed and leaking in a short time.

When this occurs, a small amount of powder (smoke) is released and a loud noise may be heard. This is a normal phenomenon and will not cause a fire. Warning! ■ If the airbag fault warning light is illuminated continuously during driving or after self-inspection, please stop the vehicle at a safe place immediately and contact a Lynk & Co Center. ■ Defective repairs in the airbag system could result in malfunction and serious personal injury. Always drive to a Lynk & Co Center for repairing the airbag system. 24
