SAFETY Front side airbags Note! VESPER □ The front side airbags only deploy on the vehicle affected by the serious impact. The front side airbags will not deploy in all collision situations. For trigger conditions of the front side airbags , please refer to the Airbags(p. 24) . □ For conditions under which the front side airbags may not deploy , please refer to the Airbags(p. 24) . Head safety air curtains Front side airbag position and deployment The front side airbag is installed on the outside of the front seat, which is marked AIRBAG.
When the vehicle is subjected to a violent lateral impact, the front side airbags will be deployed between the occupant and the door panel to protect the occupant ’ s shoulders to hips, minimizing injuries. Warning! ■ Do not put objects in the area between the outside of the seat and the door panel. Otherwise, when the airbag is deployed, it may lead to personal injury or death. ■ Do not use the seat covers on the front seat backs. The seat cover may interfere with the deployment of the front side airbags, causing injury or death.
Head safety air curtains The head safety air curtains are fitted along the left and right sides of the roof lining to protect the driver and passengers seated on the outer seats. The panels are marked with AIRBAG word. 29
