Precautions for Handling Consumables (Ink, Maintenance Liquid) and Waste Ink Read the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before handling ink cartridges*, maintenance liquid*, and waste ink. The Safety Data Sheet can be downloaded from the Epson website. * These are consumable items (sold separately). 18 WARNING If ink gets on your skin or enters your eyes or mouth, take the measures below. • If it gets on your skin, rinse immediately with soap and water. • If it enters your eyes, rinse immediately with water. Failure to observe this precaution could result in bloodshot eyes or mild inflammation. If problems persist, consult with a physician. • If it enters your mouth, consult a physician immediately.
Do not disassemble or modify the ink cartridges. Otherwise, fluid could get in your eyes or come in contact with your skin. Keep ink cartridges, maintenance liquid, cleaning liquid, scan spindle grease, waste ink, and glue out of the reach of children. When lifting up an ink cartridge, wear safety shoes and place your hands in the positions indicated in the figure below. Lifting with placing the hands on other positions could cause the ink cartridge to fall or pinch your fingers when you lower it, resulting in injury.
