Any handheld mobile device running a VNC client application can remotely control an Multi-Touch HMI. The HMI must have the VNC server function enabled and be accessible over an Ethernet network. The mobile device must be running a VNC client application and have access to the HMI on the network. To connect to the HMI from a smart phone or mobile device over the internet, you will need a static IP address in the HMI, accessible over the internet.
It may be necessary to open a port on the local area network to allow access to the HMI. Accessing an HMI over the network may require network administrative assistance. 13
