6 Close the ink cartridge cover. When the ink cartridge is loaded for the first time, it takes approximately 8 minutes for ink charging. Do not open the roll cover or the ink cartridge cover of the printer, or press the Power switch or the FEED button. The INK LED (red) turns off. The POWER LED (green) starts flashing when the ink charge starts.
