2 Basic Components System Components Mounting and Wiring the Visionscape GigE Camera • Mount the camera securely in its camera stand (not supplied). • Make sure the camera is mounted at the correct distance for the optics you’ve purchased. • Connect the Ethernet cable and the power cable to the Visionscape GigE Camera. Connect the Visionscape GigE Camera to a 24V power supply or to the Visionscape GigE power supply. Mounting Using Front Block Note: Do not insulate the mounting block. The mounting block of the Visionscape GigE Camera is part of the heat dissipation system, and metal-to-metal contact is required for effective cooling.
Refer to Appendix C, “General Specifications", for mounting block dimensions. You can mount the Visionscape GigE Camera using the M3 holes located on the front, top, bottom, and each side of the front block, as shown in Figure 2–4. FIGURE 2–4.
