Driver information Symbols in the instrument cluster The alarm/indicator lamp can be lit individually or in combination to indicate a variety of different alarms, failures, or certain functions. Some alarms/indicators will light up when the ignition is switched on and should be turned off once the engine is running or the vehicle is in motion. Depending on the vehicle configuration, the in- strument cluster may display symbols rather than alarm lights. Some warning lights and indicators are not appli- cable on all models, depending on the vehicle configuration. For details on indicator lamps that light up in the light switch, see Chapter “Lights”.
