WARNING Warning sound when headlights are not turned off When the vehicle key is removed from the igni- tion and the driver's door is opened, the system will sound a warning tone when: The automatic headlamp dipped beam control ( ) function turns the headlamp dipped beam on and off only when the ambient brightness changes. ● In special weather conditions (such as foggy days), switch on the headlamp dipped beam manually. – When the parking lights are on. – When the side lights or rear fog lamp are on. When the “Coming homing” function is enabled, the system will not trigger a signal tone when the driver's side door is opened, indicating that a certain headlight is still on.
Turn fog lights on and off The rear fog light can be switched on when the ignition is switched on and when the light switch is in the and dipped beam positions: – Switch on the rear fog lamp : Pull the light switch up to stop. The indicator lamp lights up yellow in the instrument cluster. Troubleshooting Turn signals indicators If one side of the turn signals is disabled, the flashing frequency of the corresponding side of the turn signals indicators will be doubled. – Press in the light switch or turn to position .
If the rear fog light is switched on while the automatic headlight control is switched on , the dipped beam headlights will al- so be switched on irrespective of the prevailing light conditions outside. The indicators shine green. – Check vehicle lighting and replace appropriate bulbs if necessary. → page 155 – If the fault persists, go to a correspondingly qualified workshop. Lights functions Side lights If the side lights is turned on, the side lights in the headlight on both sides, the local area of the taillight, the license plate light, the centre con- sole button and the dash panel button are lit.
Running light fails Service lights are partially or completely faulty. Headlight auto control If the headlight auto control has been switched on, the vehicle lighting and instrument and switch lighting will automatically switch on and off according to the ambient light. If the headlight is turned on, the indicator light will light yellow.
