Introduction Event Data Recorder Remote monitoring system ZEEKR vehicle is equipped with an Event Data Recorder (EDR), which is used to record information related to vehicle crashes or accidents, such as vehicle speed (signal comes from the site controller and gets it from the sensor, representing the vehicle speed at the time of the incident), braking status (representing the vehicle was braking at the time of the incident). ZEEKR vehicles are equipped with remote monitoring system, which can be used to collect data from various systems like speed, location, motion tack, drive motor, high voltage battery and warnings, etc., and save it.
Remote monitoring system uploads data to the ZEEKR regularly, which helps maintain the vehicle/analyze faults. At the same time, some remote control systems may also need data provided by the remote monitoring system, such as: battery charge level, door state, etc. When a vehicle collision event occurs, the current event data can overwrite the previous unlocked event data in the chronological order of accident data storage.
To be able to read and interpret the information recorded requires ZEEKR special data reading equipment, it can be extracted by connecting the vehicle OBD interface or separately connected to the EDR controller through a dedicated device, which is available in a ZEEKR Service (Experience) Center approved by ZEEKR. How to obtain the data reading device: If necessary, you can contact an authorized ZEEKR dealer to apply to the manufacturer to obtain the device with their assistance.
