This process is known as "regeneration". The regeneration is done in three ways; automatic regeneration (abbreviated as auto-regeneration), manual regeneration, and service regeneration. Aftertreatment Device Regeneration Status Display Aftertreatment device display (1) displays the regeneration level of the aftertreatment device. 2 This symbol indicates that the exhaust temperature is higher than normal during the aftertreatment device regeneration.
