3 i5601E Digital Display Factory Settings Enter Idle RPM The “ENTER IDLE RPM” selection allows the Idle RPM of the 6LY3, 6CX and SY GEN III engines to be adjusted. The settable range depends on the type of engine. The engine ECU makes the final determination of allowable settings. The screen will display the current engine running RPM and a command window will appear if any of the following conditions exist: COLD ENG MOVE THROTTLE TO ZERO ENG ALARM The “+” (plus) and “-” (minus) buttons are used to select an RPM value. The “+” will increment the value to the maximum allowed. The “-” will decrement the value to the minimum allowed. The “Set” button will save the new value to the engine.
It takes approximately 10 seconds for the engine to acknowledge the save. During this time no further change to the setting can be made and the “BUSY STORING” Message will appear. The Engine RPM will display the new RPM value once the engine controller has accepted and set the value. © 2011 Yanmar Marine International • Rev. 2.0 3:42 Yanmar Electronic Control Systems Technical Manual
