M.H.C.V. Product VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (VCM) The New Vehicle Control Module ECU (VCM) is available on all New EuroCargo range as a Standard vehicle configuration. The VCM is an Electronic Control Unit located in the cab under the fuse box (passanger side) and it is connected to the other vehicle Electronic Units via CAN bus line. The VCM ECU has been developped to manage specific vehicle functions due to the:
* increased complexity of Euro 4 functions (multiple injections, after treatment control and monitoring, …) * flexibility for future vehicle functions development and consequentely to de-couple the overall vehicle electronic control system from the specific functionality of the engine ECU controller ABS VCM EM ECAS Main VCM functions are related to: vehicle control: - Driveability (accelerator pedal management - Speed limiters - Cruise control - Power take off (PTO) - Engine brake activation logic - Cooling system (fan) activation logic vehicle security system: - Immobiliser gateways:
