STARTING AND DRIVING Fuel and emissions Warning! Refueling VESPER Always avoid inhaling fuel vapor and getting fuel splashes on your skin or in your eyes. Keep fuel away from children. If you or others come into contact with fuel, observe the following: ■ If fuel comes into contact with the skin, wash away immediately. ■ If fuel spills into your eyes, wash them thoroughly with clean water, remove contact lenses immediately (if worn), and seek medical assistance immediately. ■ If fuel spills on clothes, please take off the contaminated clothes immediately. The symbol in the instrument cluster is illuminated when the fuel level gets low.
Refuel as soon as possible with fuel of the recommended grade. The arrow indicates the side of the vehicle where the fuel filler flap is located. Warning! Please observe the following warnings and precautions before refueling the vehicle, otherwise vehicle damage or personal injury or death may occur. ■ Be sure to extinguish all smoking items and open flames, and avoid sparks or smoking during refueling. ■ Power off the vehicle before refueling. Do not attempt to start the vehicle during refueling.
■ Before touching the refueling gun, always touch another metal part of the vehicle away from the fuel filler neck, refueling gun or other fuel source, to discharge the existing electrostatic buildup. This prevents the electrostatic buildup from creating sparks and igniting fuel vapors. Warning! Please observe the following warnings and precautions in the process of refueling the vehicle, otherwise vehicle damage or personal injury or death may occur. ■ Do not use your mobile phone when refueling. The phone signal can cause electrostatic buildup and ignite fuel vapors. ■ Remove the fuel filler cap slowly. If a hissing sound is heard, wait until this stops before completely removing the cap.
In hot weather, pressurized fuel may spray out the filler neck and cause injury. ■ Insert the refueling gun into the fuel filler neck securely when refueling. ■ It is strictly forbidden to start the vehicle until the refueling is completed, and the fuel filler cap and fuel filler flap are securely closed. ■ Stop filling the tank after the fuel nozzle automatically clicks off. ■ Do not overfill the fuel tank. When the fuel tank is overfilled, the pressure of the fuel tank will lead to oil leakage, fuel splash and even fire. 171
