STARTING AND DRIVING Caution! ■ Lynk & Co recommends the use of only genuine Lynk & Co windsheld. After the windshield has been replaced, the windshield camera will have to be re-calibrated by a Lynk & Co Center to help ensure proper function of the camera. ■ In order for windshield camera to function properly, the windshield must be kept free of dirt, ice, snow, and should be washed regularly using neutral washing detergent (special for vehicle). Keep the windshield clean. If the windshield camera is blocked, some drive assistance systems may not work properly. VESPER For more information about the cameras in the front, rear and outside rearview mirrors , please refer to the (p. ) .

Caution! Limitations of the windshield camera for drive assistance system ■ The warning message pops up in the instrument cluster when there is dirt or snow around the windshield camera. After cleaning up the dirt or snow, if the warning message in the instrument cluster does not disappear, stop the vehicle at a safe place and contact a Lynk & Co Center. ■ If the windshield or control unit has been replaced in service or if the windshield camera has not been calibrated, the windshield camera should be re-calibrated. ■ Service and replacement on the windshield camera/ windshield should only be carried out by a trained and qualified service technician from Lynk & Co.

■ When the windshield is foggy, please turn on the windshield defroster to ensure normal operation of windshield camera. The windshield camera has certain limitations: ■ Adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain, snow and dense fog may reduce the function of windshield camera or cause the systems to temporarily stop functioning. ■ Strong sunlight, reflections from the road surface, ice or snow covering the road, water logged on the road, a dirty road surface, or unclear lane markers may drastically reduce the windshield camera ’ s capacity to detect lane markers, a pedestrian or another vehicle. ■ Never place any objects or decals on the windshield in front of the windshield camera.

This could cause one or more of the systems that utilize it to stop functioning. ■ If the temperature in the passenger compartment is very high, the windshield camera may be temporarily disabled for a period. When the temperature has cooled sufficiently, the windshield camera will restart and automatically resume work. ■ If a crack, scratch or stone chip occurs in the section of the windshield in front the windshield camera, contact a Lynk & Co Center for repair/replacement.
