Lane Change Assist System (if equipped) The lane change assist system detects targets around the rear side of the vehicle at all times and evaluates the situation when the vehicle is about to change lanes. If there are moving vehicles and fast approaching vehicles in the blind spot area of the driver, the lane change assist system will give early warning of possible collisions to ensure the safety when changing lanes. The lane change assist system consists of three subsystems: ■ Blind Spot Detection (BSD) : System detects other vehicles in outside rearview mirrors' blind area. ■ Closing Vehicle Warning (CVW) :

System detects vehicles that are about to pass your vehicle or are approaching your vehicle quickly from behind in the left or right lanes. ■ Lane Change Warning (LCW) : The system detects whether there are fast approaching vehicles in the lane you are going to parallel. 203
