EPSON — Maintenance Menu

SC-B9580 User's Guide Control Panel Menu Maintenance Menu * indicates default settings. 97 Item Parameter Explanation Stick Prevention On Select whether or not (On/Off) to perform non-stick operations when the printer is turned on, when printing begins, and so on. Normally, leave this Off. Depending on the type of media, such as ultra-thin media, some may stick more easily to the platen. Starting operations with media stuck to the platen may cause the media to not feed correctly and result in a paper jam. Set On if this happens. Operating time takes longer when On is set.

Off Rewind Tension Lv1 to Lv9 We recommend lowering this setting if media wrinkles during printing or if ink sticks to the back of the media in the take up roll. We recommend increasing this setting if there is too much slack in the rewound media. The higher the value, the greater the tension. Skip Wrinkled Media Off Normally, leave this Off. To avoid wrinkles at the start of printing, we recommend setting the length to 300 mm. However, if you want to set a different length depending on the media you are using and the print content, you can set the length so that printing is not performed within a range of 10 to 1000 mm from the leading edge. Set the length in increments of 10 mm.

However, no media is fed when jobs are continuous. On (10 to 1000 mm) Item Explanation Print Head Nozzle Check Print a pattern, and then check the status of the nozzles for the print head. Inspect the pattern visually and perform Head Cleaning if you detect any missing colors. See the following for details.
