107 The stowage compartment in the driver door The stowage compartment in the driver door can be used to store items such as high-visibility waistcoats → Fig. 107 . Incorrect use of the drink holders can cause in- jury. WARNING NOTICE ● Never place hot drinks in a drink holder! Hot drinks in a drink holder could be spilled and cause scalding in any sudden braking ma- noeuvre or accident. Avoid storing heat-sensitive items like magnetic tapes, chocolate, or medications inside the stow- age compartment of the driver door. ● Always take care not to let drink bottles or other objects fall into the driver's side foot- well and obstruct pedal movement when the vehicle is in motion.
Coat and bag hook ● Do not place heavy cups, food or any other heavy objects on the cup holders, as they could travel across the carriage and seriously injure the occupants in the event of an acci- dent. Please refer to and at the start of the chapter on page 133. Depending on the vehicle equipment, the coat hooks are located on the centre door pillar. The bag hooks are located in the luggage com- partment → page 146. WARNING Closed drink bottles can explode in the vehicle in extreme heat or burst in extremely cold tem- peratures and cause serious injuries. Hanging clothes on the coat hooks may ob- struct the driver's visibility.
This may cause ac- cidents and serious or even fatal injuries. WARNING ● Never leave closed drink bottles in an ex- tremely hot or extremely cold vehicle for ex- tended periods. ● Always ensure that clothes hung on the coat hooks do not obstruct the driver's visibility. ● The coat hooks in the vehicle should be used only for lightweight clothing.
