ASDA-B3 Installation 2.7 Selecting the regenerative resistor When the direction of torque is opposite to the direction of rotation, the energy generated returns to the servo drive from the load. This energy is turned into electricity in the capacitance 2 of the DC Bus and thus increases the voltage. When the voltage reaches a given value, it is consumed by a regenerative resistor. The servo drive has a built-in regenerative resistor; you can also use an external regenerative resistor if needed.
