3 i5601E Digital Display calibration Trolling WARNING sudden movement hazard Perform calibration in calm water/weather conditions to avoid incorrect calibration. Make sure the boat is clear of all obstacles. Some trolling setting changes will take immediate effect, causing the boat to move as soon as the change is entered. All trolling adjustments must be made with the engine and transmission at normal operating temperature. The correct trolling settings must be made in the “Factory Settings” menu (see pages 3:38 through 3:47).
The “Troll Valve Type” and set “Set T RPM Engage” must be correct and the troll option should be automatic “Y” for “Yes.” When the trolling option is available it may be configured in a variety of ways. The default is set to split the lever range between trolling operation and throttle operation with 60% of the lever range used to operate the trolling valve and 40% of the lever range used to operate the throttle. The default setting also places a maximum throttle setting of 40% of WOT when the lever is full forward. Note: The trolling function of the transmission is automatically disabled before any throttle can be applied. ........................................................
