11. EXPLANATION OF COMPONENTS 11 .I.4 D: METER GROUP NOTICE While the engine is at rest, turn the starting switch ON to see if meter lamps 0, 0 and 0 and the monitor lamp all come on. If they do not light, ask your Komatsu distributor to inspect them. 1. ENGINE COOLING WATER TEMPERATURE GAUGE This gauge indicates the temperature of the cooling water. Red, If the temperature is normal during operation, the green range will light. If the red range lights up during operation, move the fuel control lever to lower the engine speed to approx. 3/4 of the full speed, and run until the water temperature enters the green range.
If the engine cooling water temperature enters the red range, and the engine water temperature monitor flashes and the alarm buzzer sounds, stop the machine and run at low id- ling until the water temperature enters the green range. NOTICE If the water temperature gauge often enters the red range, check the radiator for clogging. 2-10
