Place some rags under the drive chain hous- ing. 3. Remove: • Chain housing cover 4. Check: • Drive chain slack ® Out of specification ---+' Adjust. Drive chain slack: 8 - 15 mm (0.31 - 0.59 in) 5. Adjust: • Drive chain slack Adjustment steps: • Loosen the locknut CD . Tu rn the adjuster@in or out u nti I the specified free slack is obtained. Turning in Free play is decreased. "T:urning out Free play is increased. • Tighten the locknut CD. 6. Proceed to steps 4 through 7 of "Oil Re- placement" .
