Lynk & Co — Hybrid system overview

STARTING AND DRIVING If your vehicle gets stuck in a snow, sand or some other conditions, ESP can help the vehicle out of trouble. If the vehicle adhesion limit is exceeded, stop the vehicle and wait for rescue. , please refer to the (p. ) . Note! VESPER □ During braking, you may hear some noise from the engine compartment and feel some vibration through the brake pedal. This is a normal phenomenon caused by ABS when it's working, and not a malfunction. □ When ABS stops operating, the feel of the brake pedal reverts to its non-ABS condition. The indicator on the instrument cluster turns on to show that ESP is disabled. Caution!

Hill Start Assist (HSA) The vehicle will get less stability control after the ESP is disabled. HSA makes it easier to pull away when the vehicle is on a slope without the need to use EPB. Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) ABS can prevent each wheel from locking during emergency braking or when braking on slippery surfaces, avoid side slipping or drifting, and maintain vehicle stability. HSA keeps the vehicle stationary on a slope for about 1.5 s after the brake pedal is released. This allows you time to move your foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal. When sufficient engine torque is applied, the brakes are released automatically.

This is an advantage when pulling away on a slope, for example from a vehicle parking ramp, traffic lights or reversing uphill into a parking space. Stopping distances are longer on rough, gravel or snow covered roads. So be sure to keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front, otherwise accidents may be caused, resulting in personal injury or death. Warning! HSA can still work even when Auto Hold is disabled. Warning! ■ HSA can not replace the parking brake. When you leave the vehicle, always apply the parking brake and select P mode. ■ Be prepared to press the brake pedal if the vehicle begins to roll backwards.

The HSA cannot prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards on a slope under all load or road conditions. 180
