omron — 4.1 Downgrade a New EM2100 appliance from Fleet Operations Workspace 1.0 to Mobile Software Suite 4.9

Chapter 4: Downgrade AMRs and EM2100s to run with Legacy Solution Software All Omron autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and EM2100 appliances ship with Fleet Oper- ations Workspace (FLOW) Core software installed. In order to use newly purchased mobile robot equipment in fleets running Legacy Mobile Software Suite (MSS) 4.X software, the legacy software needs to be installed and enabled. Additionally, compatible versions of SetNetGo (SNG) and MobilePlanner must be installed in your system to ensure the new and existing AMRs interact as designed. This chapter provides detailed instructions which will guide you through the Legacy software installation process.

Please follow these steps in the order provided in this chapter. NOTE: No modification to any of the AMRs in the existing fleet is required. Even though the new AMRs will be running a newer version of SetNetGo, the existing AMRs can continue to run their installed versions of SetNetGo, MSS and MobilePlanner. 4.1 Downgrade a New EM2100 appliance from Fleet Operations Workspace 1.0 to Mobile Software Suite 4.9 This section defines the process for downgrading a newly purchased EM2100 appliance run- ning the Fleet Operations Workspace (FLOW) Core software to the Legacy Mobile Software Suite (MSS) solution. 1.

Install the EM2100 following the EM2100 Installation Guide, and FLOW Core Software Users Guide. This will cover setup and connecting the EM2100 to the local network. During install- ation, the system will assign a new network IP address which will be used during the downgrade process. 2. Download the MSS 4.X software (which the mobile robot fleet is currently using) onto the laptop which will be used to downgrade the EM2100. You can obtain this software from your local Omron Representative. NOTE: The SNG 4.10 version which you will need is already installed on the mobile robot. 3.

Using the laptop, open SNG Web UI within a browser and connect to the EM2100 appli- ance via its existing IP address. 4. Within SNG, select the System Tab and select the Upload SetNetGo OS page from the left-hand list. 5. Select Boot Image B (which should be labeled as SNG 4.10 on the screen). 6. Reboot the EM2100 appliance by either clicking on the Reboot button in the SNG Sys- tem tab (if enabled), or by using the power switch on the front of the EM2100 appliance. 20569-063 Rev.
