5-32 SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ELECTRONIC SUBSYSTEMS E UROCARGO Euro 4/5 Maxifuses and Megafuses Available from IVECO Shop there is a set of five kits of fuse boxes, for high power draw-off protection. Their positioning (always as near as possible to the draw terminal on the batteries) will be done by the bodybuilder according to the available space on the vehicle. To be connected to the draw point it is important to make sufficiently large contact surfaces suitable for the quantity of current being drawn (the permissible top limit for drawing off current is the same as described in point a: battery power draw-off).
For this purpose use nuts and washers to lock the draw points on the threaded pin (terminal) of the battery cut-out. Insert a fuse downstream of the battery cut-out and use cables of adequate cross-section for the power to draw off according to the directions given in Table 5.26. The outgoing cables must be arranged so as to be parallel to the reference plane, that is as close as possible to the structure of the chassis frame/bodywork. Always protect the cables with a special corrugated tube and insulate the contact with an insulating cap for cables of suitable dimensions. 91512 Electrical system: modifications and drawing-off power Base - January 2008 Print 603.93.431
