When the door is locked, the tailgate will be locked. Troubleshooting The instrument cluster → page 15 displays whether the tailgate is open or not closed cor- rectly. Please refer to and at the start of the chapter on page 58. The tailgate locks automatically during driving. The tailgate cannot be opened or closed – Check the tailgate for obstructions. The tail- gate can be moved by hand, but with greater force. WARNING Improper or unsupervised closing of tailgate may result in serious injury.
The tailgate is stuck When the ambient temperature is below 0 ℃ , the tailgate opening mechanism may not automati- cally support the opened tailgate, so it is neces- sary to lift the tailgate by hand. ● When closing the tailgate, please ensure that your hand is out of the reversing range of the tailgate. If the tailgate is not opened within a few minutes after being unlocked, the tailgate automatically relocks. Pull up the button. Press the button to lock the rear electric windows. If the driver's side door and the front passenger's side door are not opened within a few minutes after the ignition switch is turned off, the electric windows can still be operated by buttons. Single touch open and close function The single touch open and close function enables a electric window to be fully opened or closed at once, without constantly manipulating the corre- sponding electric window button. Pull the corresponding elec- tric window button up to the second gear posi- tion quickly and release the button to completely close the door and window. – Remove items from the luggage compartment so that the tailgate can be reached in the car. – Insert the key head into the circular notch on the tailgate lock and push the unlocking lev- er → Fig. 51 in the direction of the arrow while pushing the tailgate outward until it opens. Single touch open: Press the corresponding elec- tric window button to the second gear position quickly and then release the button to complete- ly open the door and window.
